In its most specific interpretation, the five-pointed star or pentacle symbolizes Venus - the goddess of female love and beauty. Based on the divine order of nature, the goddess Venus and planet Venus were one and the same. The goddess had a place in the nighttime sky and was known by many names, Venus, the Eastern Star, Ishtar, Astarte - all of them powerful female concepts with ties to Mother Nature & Earth.
The planet Venus traces a PERFECT pentacle across the eliptic sky every forty years, and so Venus and her pentacle have become lesser known symbols of perfection and wholeness, the four elements plus spirituality, perfect beauty, and the cyclic qualities of love. The properties give the symbol power over evil spirits and protects and honors the concepts of “The Sacred Feminine”.

I began my life in Sweden, where I was born and raised until I turned twenty. My father an architect and artist, my mother a linguist, actress and painter, with their individulistic belief systems and humanistic values, exposed me and my two younger siblings to a world of dedicated and disciplined work, roots of family, music, culture, literature, art, nature, sports, and travel. A burning quest for knowledge and understanding of different cultures and value systems as well as a concept of our all encompassing and universal connectedness, early formed central and powerful themes in my life.
After a platform building track in Natural Sciences - I left my education, friends, and life in Sweden to attend the University of Miami, Florida as a pre-med student. Not convinced of my choice, the search for deeper personal purpose continued, and eventually I found a path I could most relate to. I was accepted to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where my studies continued and culminated in 4 years of BFA studies majoring in Graphic Design and Packaging.

For 25 years, I worked and built my artistic and technical skills as an artist and designer as well as business owner of a small yet successful Graphic Design studio - Sirious Design in San Diego, California. Although I have a deep appreciation for my work as a Graphic Designer and have been fortunate to collaborate with a variety of interesting people and business owners, institutions and corporations. a chance encounter or “destiny” to my true purpose has led me down a paralell track of “using my special and creative talents to provide beauty and joy to others, while simultaneously creating health, balance and prosperity in my own life”. This, the jewelry creating under the name of Sirious Design Originals affords me happiness of self-expression, freedom and creativity while using my accumulated years of experience and skills as a designer, artist, and business owner. My core values remain originality, creativity, uncompromising quality, honorable craftsmanship, continuous learning and steadfast aim at furthering and developing a tradition of skill and artistry, while offering beauty and joy to others who value similar aspects of life and living.
With the support and help of my dedicated husband Mark, I'm able to fulfill a dream of being successfully creative and original. My highest wishes are that you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy the process of creating them.
