What about the materials you use?
Color, dimension, texture and quality are key elements, essential to the appeal of my designs. I therefore carefully select and incorporate only the finest materials available.

All of the wire and findings I use in my jewelry are either .925 sterling silver or 14k gold-filled unless otherwise specified. On occasion I will patina the silver (oxidize for an antiqued finish), use pewter, or copper for contrast. I avoid using base metal in all of my jewelry. My Precious Metal Clay pieces are 99.9% Silver (fine silver) and are priced according to current silver market rates. The semi-precious gemstones, beads, & pendants I use are of the highest quality available and whenever possible, rare or one-of-a-kind. Many have stories behind them such as where they were purchased and I find great joy in hunting for and assembling unusual materials with unique energy and diversified stories behind them.

The freshwater pearls I incorporate into my designs are primarily chosen for their shape, luster and color. I use genuine Czeck glass beads, which are often vintage, and genuine Austrian Swarovski crystals for their unmatchable brilliance and I search extensively for some of the most unique, intricately handcrafted silver beads and findings from places such as Bali, Turkey and the remote mountain areas of Thailand. I only use quality stringing materials and try to find clasps that are "user friendly" as well as beautiful and unusual complimenting each creation. My seed beads are mostly precisiobn cut Japanese Toyo beads.

What is the difference between "Gold-Filled" and "Gold Plated"?
Gold-fill is unlike gold-plate in that gold-fill is generally considered a lifetime product and will not tarnish or wear off like electroplated products will. Gold-fill contains 100 times the amount of gold than that of gold-plate! Gold-fill (also known as "rolled gold") is a layer of 10k or better gold that is mechanically bonded under heat and pressure to one or more surfaces of a supporting metal and then rolled, or drawn to a given thickness.

What is your guarantee of workmanship?
All my jewelry is hand crafted and one-of a kind. I take pride in my work and devote the extra time and care it takes to assure you receive a finely crafted piece of jewelry, one of heirloom quality that you can hand down through the generations. I guarantee my jewelry due normal wear and if, under original ownership, a piece should break -- I will repair or replace it at no charge to you for up to 90 days from the original date of purchase. If you should chip a stone or damage a piece not due to my workmanship, or if after 90 days of ownership, I will work with you and submit a reasonable quote for repair. Customers are responsible for return shipping. I recommend you insure your package.

How do I care for my jewelry?
With normal wear and care your jewelry should last for years. To keep sterling silver from tarnishing, store your jewelry in a plastic bag, or the box it came in. Air is what makes sterling silver tarnish. You can use a tarnishing cloth to remove tarnish from sterling silver. I don’t recommend sleeping, showering, or exercising while wearing your jewelry. Put your jewelry on after you have dressed, and take your jewelry off before you get undressed. Shopping can be hazardous to your jewelry, so always make sure you leave the dressing room with both earrings, your bracelet and your necklace. Trust me on this!!! Apply perfume or hairspray before putting on your jewelry. Every once in a while, take a damp cloth and gently wipe your jewelry clean. Young children love to pull on things. Beware!!!
